Tenth Amendment Center: More Regulation Does Not Necessarily Mean More Safety

A lot of people accept regulations because they think they’re making them safer.

This isn’t necessarily true.

No outbreaks of foodborne illnesses have been traced to small businesses operating outside of regulatory structures in states with “food freedom” laws. Meanwhile, we see all kinds of outbreaks traced to big corporate food producers operating under strict FDA regulations and monitoring.
